Origin

Ziru Labs was founded in 2025 by Daniel Martin. His career as a serial entrepreneur brought him into direct contact, across the past four years, with the domestic and international operating conditions artificial intelligence is now being asked to deploy into: regulated enterprises, federal and foreign defense programs, and the state-level conversations that surround them. The company began with an observation from that period that a solution was needed to enable the use of AI in high-stakes environments, to the required regulatory standards. Research identified the extensive unmet demand for those deployments, and the conditions that would finally enable them. The solutions were engineered. Ziru Labs builds the substrate that will now enable those high-stakes AI deployments to meet user requirements and be deployed.

Why the Origin Matters

The intellectual property was produced after four years of direct exposure to the operating environment it is built for. The problem was observed in the field at state-level tier. The technology pipeline was developed against the specific identified problem. The result is a company whose engineering work is calibrated to the deployment environment from inception. A common challenge for lab originated deep technology is the gap between what the technology does and what the deployment environment will adopt. Ziru Labs was built to narrow that gap.

The Founder

Daniel Martin is a career entrepreneur. His prior work spans three decades of operating-company founding and leadership across deeply regulated industries, including SEC and FINRA disclosure frameworks, FDA pharmaceutical procedure, HIPAA-regulated patient data, and federal and foreign sovereign engagement frameworks. He has led the intellectual property strategy and product architecture across commercially deployed technology businesses, taken companies through capital formation and public listing, and operated as the principal in high-stakes negotiations with American and allied counterparties.

The Founding Team

The team concentrates the attributes that the operating environment requires. Most foundationally, the team carries deep federal classified artificial intelligence experience, including senior prior service in U.S. intelligence community and cryptographic warfare roles. The combination of current cleared engagement with senior prior intelligence-community service informs the company's technical architecture and operational posture. The team additionally carries engineering depth in ultra-low-latency systems calibrated to financial-markets reliability standards, paired with production AI commercialization at scale.

Founding-team members have experience at venture-scale technology companies, including a unicorn. Team experience includes nearly three decades of board-level operating discipline across regulated industries, with multiple prior partnerships among the team. Cross-cultural fluency across the company's operating geography, with native fluency in the European markets where the substrate composes with EU regulatory frameworks is being leveraged for international efforts. The next hiring cohort extends the team into the domains the substrate's engineering and deployment require: Senior hardware engineering for the silicon work.
